Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants: 2024 TXCPA Summit

David Gair and Isreal Miller will present at the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants – 2024 TXCPA Summit on August 19-20, 2024 in San Antonio, TX.

David's session, "Regulations of Tax Professionals," will take place from 8:00am – 9:15am on August 20. He will discuss the monumental Supreme Court cases involving the validity and challenges of Federal regulations and what they mean for Certified Public Accountants and their clients. This presentation will address two recent SCOTUS cases related to federal regulations (Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo and Corner Post, Inc. v. Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System), as well as other areas in IRS regulation consequences for failing to abide by regulations and other laws.

Isreal will co-present "Family Law Considerations in Estate Planning" on August 19 from 11:05 am – 12:20 pm. The program is aimed at advising clients at critical points in their lives. Topics will include identifying and providing for children, spouses, parents, and in-laws; planning documents; and common mistakes that are made and how to avoid them.
