Edwards Wildman's Boston Office Hosts ACC In-House Counsel Seminar

Edwards Wildman's Boston Office proudly hosted a program for the Association of Corporate Counsel on “The Clause that Binds: Noncompetition Provisions & Antitrust Concerns Event” on Tuesday, September 16th. Edwards Wildman attorneys Allison O'Neil and Joseph Farside were joined by the Honorable Suzanne V. Del Vecchio of Commonwealth Mediation and Conciliation, Inc. (CMCI).

This seminar was aimed at navigating the various protections and restrictions of noncompetition clauses. Panelists discussed new and inventive ways to guard your company's secrets and the best means of avoiding an expensive protracted litigation. Panelists also presented on strategies concerning advocacy aimed at influencing substantive merger review by the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice in mergers that involve competitive overlap. They also touched upon strategies concerning pre-merger notification filings that are submitted to the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice before mergers can be consummated, regardless of whether the merger presents an anticompetitive concern.
