The Reinsurance Association of America will hold the Re Underwriting: Building Professional Expertise event on September 11-12, 2013. Re Underwriting is a two-day program for insurance and reinsurance professionals, attorneys and regulatory staff to enhance their underwriting knowledge and expertise.
Matthew Furton and Molly McGinnis Stine will present on the topic of "Emerging Claims and Issues for Liability Policies" at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11. This breakout session will identify the new risks as well as the new twists on old risks that have the potential to drive liability claims. This session will focus on new claims and exposures including those arising from the trend to embrace bring-your-own-device in the workplace, the expansion of hydraulic fracking, the continued growth of text messaging, and the increased focus in the plaintiff’s bar on the accuracy of advertising.
