State of Vermont Transportation Infrastructure Bonds

Edwards Wildman served as bond counsel in connection with the issuance by the State of Vermont of its $11,165,000 Special Obligation Transportation Infrastructure Bonds, 2013 Series A, which were issued in August 2013. The bonds were issued on a competitive sale basis and the proceeds were used to finance various highway and bridge projects throughout the State. This represented the third issue of bonds by the State pursuant to its Transportation Infrastructure Bond program, which was developed by the State, with assistance from Edwards Wildman, in 2010. The TIB Program was undertaken as a special obligation financing program to provide another source of financing for transportation projects. Members of the Edwards Wildman public finance department assisted the State in drafting the necessary legislation for the program, as well as drafting the underlying bond and offering documents.
