Overview
Locke Lord represents arrangers, lenders and borrowers in all phases of syndicated financings encompassing mergers and acquisitions, domestic and international project financings, traditional investment grade revolvers, and secured restructurings. Our attorneys have extensive experience with master limited partnership (MLP) financings, energy financings, structured financings, multi-currency financings, and highly leveraged transactions.
Our syndicated finance group works in conjunction with our corporate, banking, energy, project finance and real estate attorneys to help manage every step of the syndicated deal. We assist the arranger’s team in structuring, negotiating, and documenting the transaction, preparing the information memorandum, and attending bank meetings to provide due diligence and documentation. As borrower's counsel, we are able to provide a unique perspective for the borrower’s objectives because of our vast experience across the spectrum of syndicated deals.
Additionally, with pressures on their capital and liquidity and reserves, lenders require protection from their borrowers and become increasingly interested in sharing assets and risks with their peers. Locke Lord counsels major banks, insurance companies and other lenders on the legal aspects of their syndication and other capital markets efforts.
