Two Locke Lord Partners Again Ranked Among Top in the World by International Who's Who of Aviation Lawyers

November 11, 2010 – Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell Partners Gary W. Westerberg and Nigel Wright are among the top 100 aviation lawyers in the United States and the top 500 in the world, according to 2011 rankings just released by The International Who’s Who of Aviation Lawyers.
Both consistently make the prestigious list, with Westerberg, a partner in the Firm’s Chicago office, being named for the eighth consecutive year, and Wright, a partner in the Firm’s Atlanta office, being named for the sixth straight year. The two are among only 92 attorneys nationwide and 411 attorneys worldwide to make the list in 2011.
Westerberg chairs Locke Lord’s Aviation section and focuses on the defense of aircraft product manufacturers, airlines, general aviation operators and the representation of insurers in connection with complex coverage issues. He has more than 30 years of experience in aviation and is a commercial pilot and aircraft owner himself. Wright originally practiced law in the United Kingdom before moving to the United States to practice in 2004. He is experienced in international dispute resolution, with a focus on arbitration, international law, aviation and product liability. Wright has been at the forefront of several cases involving liability claims in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Who’s Who starts its rigorous selection process by analyzing and vetting nomination questionnaires submitted by aviation attorneys, then it researches those attorneys who are named repeatedly during the peer nomination process. The final 411 – reviewed by additional expert panels around the world – are considered preeminent in the aviation field. The 2011 edition of Who’s Who Legal will be published in January, with copies distributed to key corporate counsel around the globe.
