Los Angeles Real Estate Attorney Kevin Corbett Joins Locke Lord’s Real Estate And Finance Practice Group

(LOS ANGELES) November 29, 2010 – Longtime Los Angeles real estate attorney Kevin Corbett has joined Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell’s Real Estate and Finance Practice Group in Los Angeles, adding strength to the Firm’s West Coast real estate presence and its growing 80-member national real estate team.
Corbett was a partner with the real estate firm of Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory and Natsis in Los Angeles for the last eight years and before that was a real estate attorney with Mayer Brown. He served as in-house counsel for CB Richard Ellis Investors for 12 years. Corbett’s broad and diverse national practice focuses on the purchase and sale, leasing, financing and management of real estate assets, and he has extensive experience in structuring complex real estate transactions, particularly for tax exempt investors. Corbett represents some of California’s largest institutional landlords in leasing matters.

Corbett’s hiring is the second major addition to Locke Lord’s national Real Estate Practice this month. Well-known real estate and sports venue attorney Lou Cohen, former Chair of the Chicago Real Estate Group at DLA Piper and a former Manager Partner of its Chicago Office, joined the Firm’s Chicago office as Co-Chair of the firm-wide Real Estate and Finance practice.
Corbett earned his law degree from the Boston University School of Law and later earned an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. He received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University.
