Locke Lord Partner Joseph Farside Named to 2017 Providence Business News 40 Under Forty List

June 20, 2017 – Locke Lord’s Joseph Farside, a Partner based in the Firm’s Providence office, has been named to the Providence Business News 2017 40 Under Forty list. The award recognizes his outstanding professional achievements and community involvement.

Farside has been with the Firm for more than 10 years and was elected Partner in 2016. He has a diverse litigation-based practice, routinely representing clients in antitrust proceedings involving the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice and appearing in state and federal courts throughout the Northeast in connection with the Firm’s broad consumer finance litigation practice. Farside also handles significant environmental and energy matters, providing counseling, regulatory guidance and environmental litigation services to environmental clients across multiple industries.

A graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law, Farside remains heavily involved with the law school by mentoring students, judging moot court competitions, providing career advice and serving on law-related panels. He has served on the Advisory Board of Roger Williams University School of Law’s Pro Bono Collaborative since 2015, which provides award-winning pro bono legal service to large groups of underprivileged and underrepresented persons throughout the state in partnership with select community groups. Farside also provides pro bono support for individuals in need in matters ranging from domestic violence to business matters. He has been named to the New England Super Lawyers Rising Stars list since 2011.

Farside joins other Locke Lord lawyers who were previously recognized in the Providence Business News 40 Under Forty list, including Providence Partners Andrew Capalbo and Andrew Hughes.
