Dallas Office Managing Partner Vicky Gunning Honored by Dallas Business Journal at 2016 Women in Business Awards

August 26, 2016 – Locke Lord’s  Vicky Gunning, Managing Partner of the Firm’s Dallas office, has been recognized by the Dallas Business Journal as a 2016 Women in Business honoree. Gunning was selected for her leadership skills and accomplishments at Locke Lord and in the Dallas chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW).

In addition to overseeing more than 300 employees in the Dallas office, Gunning serves as Chair of the Firm's Real Estate & Real Estate Finance Practice where she counsels owners and developers in negotiating financing and the acquisition, development, leasing and disposition of commercial real estate. She is also Co-Chair of the Firm’s Associate Orientation and Development Committee, aimed to help guide new Associates at the Firm and serve as mentors as they begin their legal careers.

Gunning also is  a member of the International Board of Directors of CREW, a network guiding a  membership of more than 9,000 commercial real estate professionals in more than 70 chapters ‎across North America. She has served as a past president of CREW in Dallas and was the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award in 2013 and also a recipient of the SMU/CREW Certificate in Women’s Leadership.

Gunning is an active leader in the Dallas community, serving in various civic leadership roles. She has previously been named to Chambers USA Client's Guide of America's Leading Lawyers for Business for Real Estate and a Rising Star and Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly Magazine.
