Locke Lord Counsels NextEra Energy Partners on $2.1 Billion Acquisition of NET Midstream

August 3, 2015 - A team of Locke Lord lawyers led by Bill Swanstrom provided legal counsel to NextEra Energy Partners, LP on its $2.1 billion acquisition of NET Midstream, a private company that owns long-term contracted gas pipelines in Texas, including pipelines running to the Mexican border. The deal includes the NET Mexico Pipeline – the largest pipeline in the portfolio – which delivers low-cost natural gas from the Eagle Ford Shale to the Mexico border under a 20-year contract with a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pemex Gas y Petroquimica Basica, a division of PEMEX, the Mexican state-owned oil and gas company.
