Dynamic General Sessions
Some of the exciting sessions at this spring meeting include the opening presentation where we will discuss improvements to the network and unveil the new MarshBerry.com subscriber site. The State of the Industry presentation will paint a picture of the challenges and opportunities that will present themselves in the upcoming year. We will also be featuring a General Session that will discuss the latest developments in Healthcare Reform and give you tips on how you can be proactive in planning for your agency’s future.
Denise Hanna will be speaking on a topic entitled, “General Session: Future of Healthcare Reform, is there a role for Brokers?” She will discuss the following:
What will be the broker’s role be by 2013? During the next 9 months, the US will have Supreme Court’s rulings on Healthcare, a Presidential election, and legislative election. In addition, by 2013, states must have their exchange plans approved, even though most states do not have the funding to implement their ideas. Proactive agents are planning for the future instead of waiting for the Supreme Court, the President, Congress, and the states to do it for them. Ms. Hanna, with over 20 years of healthcare public policy and advising insurance carriers, will provide APPEX partners with her interpretation of the future, from her vantage point inside the boardrooms of the health insurance industry.
