Jay Safer and Jason Nardiello will serve as panelists at Art Law Canvas(s): An Examination of Legal Issues Affecting the Visual Arts Community, a half-day seminar presented by the New York State Bar Association.  Mr. Safer will speak as a panelist on the topic of, "Real or Fake? Warranties of Authenticity," to be moderated by The Honorable Charles Ramos, New York State Supreme Court, Commercial Division.  The panel will discuss international art auction power houses as compared to small galleries, art as an investment on the market, and the legal issues associated with buying and selling art. 

Mr. Nardiello will speak as a panelist on the topic of, "Copyright It: Protecting the Fruits of Your Labor," to be moderated by The Honorable R. Bruce Cozzens, Civil Division.  The panel will address copyright issues pertaining to artists and will also address moral rights, resale rights, and fair use.  Internationally acclaimed photographer, Paul Ickovic, will also participate as a panelist.
