Katie E. Chachere is an associate practicing real estate and finance law. She assists in matters involving the acquisition, disposition and development of commercial real estate, including shopping centers, apartments, condominiums, office buildings, mixed use/urban developments, and retail and office leasing. She also represents borrowers and lenders in connection with syndicated lending transactions, including energy financings and master limited partnership (MLP) financings, loan workouts and foreclosures. Her practice also includes zoning and land use, community and economic development, affordable housing and development of cellular tower sites, including issues involving the Federal Telecommunications Act of 1995.

- Assisted with the representation of an MLP in establishing a new $200 million revolving credit facility and terminating its existing $1.45 billion term loan facility and $500 million revolving credit facility in connection with the issuance of $1.8 billion of senior notes.
- Assisted with representation of an MLP as borrower to amend and extend its $900 million revolving credit facility.
- Assisted with the represented an MLP in the amendment and restatement of its credit facility in connection with and to permit the acquisition of 100% of the general partner of another MLP.
- Assisted with the acquisition of a $325 million office building in downtown Houston.
- Assisted with a $90 million incentive package to bring major water park/hotel anchored resort and mixed use development to Cedar Park, Texas.
- Assisted with public finance issues relating to approximately $8 billion proposed expansion of nuclear power plant.
- Assisted with numerous land use and zoning issues for cellular carriers and developers/owners of wireless facilities.
- Assisted in the representation of an international energy company in the acquisition of right-of-way for the construction and operation of an interstate crude oil pipeline.
