
Erin Nathan is a litigation associate, with a primary focus on labor and employment matters. She represents clients at administrative hearings, arbitrations and mediations, and in state and federal court. Ms. Nathan has extensive experience in all aspects of employment litigation, including investigation, written discovery, depositions, motions, briefs, hearings, mediation, arbitration and settlement negotiations. In addition, as lead counsel, she has defended employment discrimination and ERISA matters before administrative agencies and in state and federal court. Ms. Nathan has handled matters involving Title VII, Title VIII, §1981, §1983, NLRB, FLSA, ERISA, FMLA, the Illinois Human Rights Act, Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act, breach of contract, trade secret violations, non-compete violations, fraud, wrongful termination, defamation, emotional distress, tortious interference, commercial bribery, defamation and breach of fiduciary duty.
Ms. Nathan counsels and represents C-level executives concerning employment agreements, severance agreements, non-compete agreements and trade secret violations.
Ms. Nathan provides preventative counseling to employers on a number of employment and traditional labor-related issues, including pre-litigation investigations and compliance reviews.
Ms. Nathan also represents broker-dealers, investment advisers and related financial entities in FINRA enforcement actions.
Ms. Nathan clerked for Justice David S. Wiggins of the Iowa Supreme Court from 2006-2007. She also was Editor in Chief of the Journal of Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems while at the University of Iowa College of Law.
