
Christopher J. Hart, head of the Firm's Real Estate and Finance Group and co-head of the Firm's Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) Group, has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate transaction work, including acquisitions, dispositions, intercreditor negotiations, financings, restructurings, workouts and enforcement actions. He has significant experience in managing complex, multi-state transactions, focusing on the hotel and hospitality industry as well as mixed-use projects. His project finance experience includes multi-state pipeline transmission projects and co-generation power production facilities. Mr. Hart's finance practice includes all aspects of senior, mezzanine and subordinate secured debt origination, sales, participations and other dispositions in the capital markets, and restructuring. He has been involved in numerous portfolio and pooled property dispositions throughout the United States.

- Representation of lenders and agents in all aspects and stages of enforcement actions and negotiations including enforcing guarantees and indemnities and realization upon real and personal property collateral.
Real Estate Lending
- Representation of lenders' agent in mixed-use $1 billion plus construction project located in New Jersey in workout and restructuring negotiations and loan administration matters.
- Origination of a $405,000,000 refinancing and construction loan for an existing, and to-be-expanded, full service hotel and conference center Orlando, Florida, involving a syndicate of 9 international and domestic lenders.
- Origination of a $65,000,000 construction loan for the conversion and development of an historic manufacturing complex in downtown Chicago to a regional retail center with 3 big box and a variety of other retail tenants.
- Refinance of 2 existing mortgage loans and assumption of 10 existing securitized and non-securitized mortgage loans totaling approximately $210,000,000, secured by 12 Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt-brand hotels located throughout the United States in connection with the merger of two unrelated investment groups.
