
John McDonald is a partner in the Firm's Dallas office and Co-chair of the Firm's Litigation Department. He has tried and defended cases in both State and Federal Courts throughout the United States. He has over twenty years of complex litigation experience on a range of issues with a particular focus on pharmaceutical False Claims Act and Qui Tam litigation including government investigations regarding pharmaceutical pricing, marketing, promotion and regulatory issues. His broad experience also includes general business litigation, intellectual property litigation, employment litigation, lender liability and debt collection, products liability, and landlord/tenant litigation. A well-regarded member of the Firm’s Litigation Department, he also provides service for clients through Alternative Dispute Resolution, including mediation and arbitration.

- Represent pharmaceutical companies (brand and generic) in Medicaid Fraud claims brought by State Attorney Generals in state and federal court cases throughout the United States.
- Represent pharmaceutical companies (brand and generic) in Civil Investigative Demand discovery initiated by various State Attorneys General.
- Represent national banks in lender liability actions pending in state court, Federal District Court and Bankruptcy Adversary proceedings.
- Represent construction auditor in Federal District Court in case alleging breach of contract, defamation, tortuous interference and violations of the Lanham Act.
- Represent property owners in dispute regarding the constitutionality of taxes imposed by local flood control district.
- Represent the manufacturer of industrial equipment in a products liability action involving the severance of the injured party’s legs.
- Represent escrow agent/attorney in alleged securities fraud and legal malpractice action.
