
Arthur E. Anthony provides creative solutions for our clients in the Firm’s Business Litigation and Arbitration, Financial Services Litigation, and Construction sections. Mr. Anthony has over 12 years of state and federal court experience in general litigation with particular emphasis on banking and financial services, government investigations, construction, insurance and business contract and tort matters. Mr. Anthony has a broad range of substantive motion practice and trial experience, and has reached settlements on behalf of both individuals and businesses. In the community, Mr. Anthony has served as President of the J.L. Turner Legal Association and on the Board of the Dallas Bar Association. Mr. Anthony has also worked to expand global relations in Dallas through, among other things, his involvement in the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations. Mr. Anthony is also Co-Chair of the Firm’s Pro Bono Services Committee.

- Representation of a national owner manager of high-end apartment complex in property casualty coverage litigation, having argued evidentiary motions and presented evidence through damage witness at trial, and secured a multi-million dollar judgment following trial.
- Representation of both insureds and insurers in declaratory judgment disputes and disputes involving alleged violations of the Texas Insurance Code and the Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act in state and federal court.
- Representation of national mortgage lender in a racial discrimination claim under the federal Fair Housing Act, prevailing on a Motion for Summary Judgment.
- Representation of owner in a multi-million dollar claim asserted by a contractor for alleged damages caused by owner-induced delays on a highway construction project.
- Representation of air filtration unit manufacturer in post-judgment collection, securing over $450,000 on behalf of the client in spite of creative avoidance by the judgment debtor.
- Representation of national bank in mortgage litigation involving allegations of erroneous credit reporting, violations of Fair Debt Collection Act, Truth in Lending Act and an array of state and federal statutes.
- Representation of local business owner in claim for breach of contract arising out of ad valorem tax dispute on commercial property owner, resulting in mediated settlement.
- Representation of international investment banking firms in litigation arising out of commercial mortgage-backed securities transaction, including organization and management of several large document productions.
- Representation of professional employment organization in federal court litigation brought by national insurance carrier concerning worker’s compensation premiums, including dispositive motion practice and mediation.
- Representation of national mortgage and mortgage servicing firms in state and federal court litigation brought by consumer plaintiffs, prevailing several times by way of dispositive or procedural motion practice.
- Representation of national eye care products manufacturer in state and federal court in products liability litigation as well as litigation involving alleged use of company computers and involving substantive disputes over scope and process of electronic discovery, securing dismissal of the client from the lawsuit.
- Representation of national pharmaceutical manufacturer in extensive state government pricing investigation, including management of significant document production.
- Representation of regional bank in post-foreclosure dispute involving loan participation agreement, including dispositive motion practice, securing a settlement for the client.
