
Donna Burnett represents participants in securities and structured finance transactions, including issuance (taxable and tax-exempt) as well as workouts and defaults on such transactions. Ms. Burnett has worked with a number of municipalities, energy companies, monoline insurers, trustee banks and purchasers or holders to help issue and secure debt (including collateralized debt obligations) and to help pursue remedies and liquidate assets following default on such debt. Drawing on her dedication to detail, Ms. Burnett has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies with respect to securitizations of assets and with respect to senior, senior-subordinated, and subordinated debt (including high yield debt), both secured and unsecured, as well as advice relating to hedges, swaps (including credit default swaps) and other financial derivatives in connection with the foregoing.

- A seller in structuring a FASB 98 $197,400,000 sale and leaseback of prison facilities and the related securitization of rental payments arising therefrom; create special purpose entities, prepare all transaction documents and render all bankruptcy remote and true sale opinions required by rating agency.
