
Keith L. Krasney is the Chair of the Securitizations Group at Locke Lord LLP and is a partner in the New York office. He concentrates his practice on securitization and structured finance, mortgage finance, securities and corporate finance. Mr. Krasney has over 25 years of experience in representing issuers, underwriters, servicers, investors and other transaction participants in a broad range of securitization transactions, including public and private offerings of residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, resecuritizations, trade receivable securitizations, net interest margin securities, and CDOs.
Keith has represented lenders and borrowers in the finance industry in warehousing arrangements, repurchase agreements, loan facilities, and related financings of financial assets. Keith has also represented clients in the purchase and sale of performing and non-performing assets in secondary market transactions. He has represented servicers in servicing engagements and in the sale and purchase of servicing rights, and various parties in connection with derivatives. Keith also represents private equity firms and hedge funds in acquisitions of financial companies and performing and non-performing financial assets, and financial institutions in sales of businesses and assets to investment funds. For the last several years, Keith has also assisted student loan issuers re-structure their previously issued securities.
Most recently, Keith has counseled clients on the structure and ramifications of the government’s agency and GSE asset disposition programs, the covered bond initiatives, other legislative and regulatory developments affecting the finance industry, and related issues concerning modifications of mortgage loans and special servicing.
