
Phillip Hosp is an associate in the Firm's Los Angeles office where he concentrates his practice insurance litigation and arbitration and capital markets/securities Litigation.
He is a veteran of the United States Army, where he served as an Armor Officer for four years, primarily with the 3rd Infantry Division. He deployed to Iraq in 2003 and 2005 and, during his two tours, served as an M1A1 tank platoon leader, battalion logistics officer and a tank company executive officer. While serving as tank company executive officer, Mr. Hosp was awarded the Bronze Star for his leadership in evacuating four Iraqi Army casualties after an IED explosion and for his tactical guidance to over 150 Iraqi and American soldiers during several battalion level missions throughout Baghdad. Mr. Hosp is also a recipient of the Army Commendation Medal and the Combat Action Badge.
In 2006, Mr. Hosp was honorably discharged from the military, upon which he enrolled at Loyola Law School Los Angeles. While at Loyola Law School, Hosp externed for the Honorable R. Gary Klausner, United States District Court Judge for the Central District of California, and for the United States Attorney's Office.
