
Krista Dunzweiler is an associate in the Firm's Sacramento and San Francisco offices practicing employment law. Krista has spent most of her legal career litigating complex issues in the area of employment law and advising employers on compliance with California and Federal labor and employment laws.
She represents employers in disputes regarding wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour violations both in State and Federal court, as well as before State Administrative agencies, including the Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the Department of Labor Standards Enforcement.
Krista also counsels employers on a variety of issues addressed in the day-to-day management of employees, such as hiring, disciplinary actions, privacy, terminations, lay-offs, employment policies and contracts, disability accommodation, wage and hour laws, leave administration, workplace violence and compliance with state and federal employment laws. She regularly conducts training for employers on topics, such as prevention of sexual harassment, limiting the risk for claims of retaliation, conducting employee performance reviews, accommodating and reinstating ill and injured workers, and conducting effective workplace investigations.
In addition, Krista represents clients in business litigation matters, including claims related to misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, dissolution of partnerships, and construction matters.

Representative Experience
- Obtained complete defense verdict in sexual harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination case against a long-term care facility.
- Obtained summary judgment of age discrimination claims against a car dealership.
- Disposed of several discrimination and harassment claims at the administrative complaint phase, eliminating the risk of litigation.
- Defeated an application for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction against a former employee's new employer for alleged misappropriation of trade secrets.
