
Seth J. Atlas is a partner in Locke Lord's New York office. He focuses in patent litigation in all areas of technology, particularly in the chemical, pharmaceutical and consumer product fields. He also maintains a diverse practice in domestic and foreign trademark counseling, registration and opposition practice, patent procurement, antitrust and licensing. Mr. Atlas has been involved in all aspects of patent litigation and client counseling, from initial infringement and validity opinions through appeal, including pretrial discovery and trial work, both on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants, potential and actual. Mr. Atlas has also been involved in protecting trademarks in the United States and abroad, including clearance opinions, prosecution, opposition proceedings, policing and trademark litigation. Mr. Atlas has represented clients in matters involving a wide variety of products and inventions, such as pharmaceuticals, disposable diapers, fat replacers, continuous chemical reaction processes, fabric softeners, hard surface cleaners, toothbrushes, cosmetics, enzymes for stone-washing denim, pet foods, automatic teller machine (ATM) systems, power supplies, computer storage systems, personal watercraft and printing presses.
