Alan M. Sack serves as Of Counsel in Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell's New York office. He has extensive experience in patent, trademark and copyright litigation, patent interferences, European and Japanese patent oppositions, and domestic and international patent and trademark preparation, opposition, prosecution and licensing. He has served as lead counsel in various patent and trademark litigations.
Mr. Sack also has broad experience in licensing negotiations, drafting of license agreements and mediation of intellectual property disputes. He has handled patent and copyright protection of technologies relating to computer sciences and business methods, electronics; biotechnology, medical devices and chemical technologies, waste treatment, polymer molding and processing, chemical engineering, petroleum processing, films and fluid handling. In addition, Mr. Sack has broad experience in trademark clearance, filing, prosecution, opposition and appeals, as well as international patent and trademark filing and prosecution.
Mr. Sack has handled all phases of practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including patent preparation, filing and prosecution, as well as appeals and interferences before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences.
